Standard Chartered has announced a partnership with the Financial Times to sponsor two literary awards: the Business Book of the Year Award and the Bracken Prize for Young Authors. The bank aims to support innovative thinking that shapes global commerce and financial expertise.

Submissions open in spring 2026, with the Business Book deadline set for June 30 and the Bracken Prize closing September 30. Shortlists will be announced in autumn, with winners named at a year-end dinner in London.

Group CFO Diego De Giorgi said, “The ideas we champion today move the world forward tomorrow.” FT Editor Roula Khalaf welcomed Standard Chartered as partner, while Chief Strategy and Talent Officer Tanuj Kapilashrami described the bank’s role as “a super-connector across global markets.”
