Standard Chartered has launched Signature Select Quality Credit Income, an investment-grade collateralized loan obligation strategy under its Variable Capital Company platform, with Barings serving as sub-investment manager. The offering targets high-net-worth clients with Accredited or Professional Investor status in Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, UAE, and Bahrain, with further expansion planned.
Barings brings over 25 years of CLO experience and more than $50 billion in assets under management across over 100 CLOs in U.S. and European markets. The firm is owned by MassMutual.
Sumeet Bhambri, Global Head of Advisory and Managed Investments at Standard Chartered Wealth Solutions, said the partnership leverages Barings’ expertise to provide clients with “institutional-quality strategies” as they diversify their holdings. The fund is authorized by the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong and the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
