Vanguard has elected David Hunt and Ken Jacobs to its board of directors and fund boards of trustees, effective February 24, 2026. Hunt previously served as president and CEO of PGIM for 13 years, bringing over 35 years of experience in financial services and strategy consulting. Jacobs is senior chairman of Lazard Inc., where he served as chairman and CEO for 14 years.

Vanguard Chair Mark Loughridge said their “long track records of disciplined leadership, thoughtful governance, and global perspective within the financial services industry will meaningfully enhance the board’s capabilities.” He added that their insights will help steer Vanguard’s mission and strengthen its commitment to protecting the interests of more than 50 million investors.

Both appointees bring extensive experience in global market development, organizational leadership, risk management, and technology-driven business transformation.
