Stripe published its 2025 annual letter and announced a tender offer at a $159 billion valuation to provide liquidity to current and former employees. Businesses running on Stripe generated $1.9 trillion in total payments volume in 2025, up 34% from 2024, equivalent to roughly 1.6% of global GDP. The company’s revenue suite is on track to reach a $1 billion annual run rate in 2026.

The 2025 cohort of new businesses on Stripe was the company’s highest-performing ever, with more than half based outside the U.S. and growing roughly 50% faster than the 2024 cohort. Stripe now powers 90% of the Dow Jones Industrial Average and 80% of the Nasdaq 100.

Stablecoin payments volume on Stripe doubled to around $400 billion in 2025, with 60% estimated as B2B payments. Bridge, the stablecoin orchestration platform Stripe acquired, saw volume more than quadruple. The company also acquired Privy, which powers over 110 million programmable wallets, and unveiled Tempo, a blockchain purpose-built for payments incubated with Paradigm. Stripe said it was robustly profitable in 2025.
