The 2025 Bank of America Chicago Marathon generated nearly $756 million for the Chicago metropolitan economy, a 7.5% increase from 2024, according to an independent study by Jones & Associates Economics. The event drew 55,744 participants and visitors, up 4% from the prior year, and supported 5,186 full-time-equivalent jobs.

More than 75% of participants traveled from outside Illinois, driving significant visitor spending on hotels, food, and entertainment. The official charity program raised $47.1 million for nonprofits, with total charitable impact exceeding $136 million when including indirect contributions, a 27% year-over-year increase.

The 48th Bank of America Chicago Marathon is scheduled for October 11, 2026, at Grant Park. The race spans 29 Chicago neighborhoods and attracts over one million spectators annually.
