Visa has launched an Enhanced Subscription Manager, a new value-added service enabling bank cardholders to view, manage, switch, and cancel recurring subscription payments directly within mobile banking apps. The solution, developed in partnership with Pinwheel, addresses growing consumer demand for subscription transparency as global subscriptions approach 12 billion by 2030.

The service integrates subscription visibility, alerts, insights, and card-on-file management through a single point. Issuers can embed card switching and cancellation capabilities for over 100 major merchants within their digital channels. According to a Pinwheel survey, 75% of consumers expect in-app bill management.

Kathleen Pierce-Gilmore, global head of Issuing Solutions at Visa, said the tool helps issuers “deliver digital experiences that keep them top-of-wallet.” The capability works across payment networks, allowing consumers to cancel or switch subscriptions regardless of the original payment method. The Enhanced Subscription Manager will be available to North American issuers in summer 2026, with expansion to Latin America and the Caribbean planned.
