Forbes has honored 258 Northwestern Mutual wealth management advisors on its Best-in-State Wealth Advisors list, an all-time high for the company representing a 160% increase over the past five years. One advisor was also named to the nation’s Top 250 Wealth Advisors list.

The recognition follows Forbes’ multi-step evaluation process, which considers qualitative interviews and quantitative data including revenue trends, assets under management, compliance records, and industry experience. John Roberts, Northwestern Mutual’s chief field officer, noted that the company manages over $400 billion in client assets as one of the largest independent broker-dealers in America.

Additional recent accolades include 230 wealth management teams on Forbes’ 2026 Best-in-State Wealth Management Teams list and 23 advisors on Barron’s Top 1,500 Financial Advisors ranking. According to Northwestern Mutual’s 2026 Planning and Progress Study, only half of Americans report feeling financially secure.
