Visa has unveiled Intelligent Commerce Connect, a new solution designed to simplify how businesses participate in AI-powered commerce. The platform functions as a network and protocol-agnostic onramp for agent builders, merchants, and payment enablers, processing purchases using both Visa and non-Visa cards through a single integration via the Visa Acceptance Platform.

The solution supports major agent protocols including Trusted Agent Protocol, Machine Payments Protocol, Agentic Commerce Protocol, and Universal Commerce Protocol. Key features include secure payment initiation, tokenization, spend controls, authentication capabilities, merchant catalog discoverability on AI platforms, and PCI compliance handling.

Intelligent Commerce Connect is currently in pilot with partners including Aldar, AWS, Diddo, Highnote, Mesh, Payabli, and Sumvin, with broader rollout planned throughout 2026. Andrew Torre, President of Value-Added Services, highlighted the solution’s role in enabling businesses to participate in the emerging agentic commerce ecosystem.
